I have owned several Internet business’ and the one thing that I have learned that I tell people is start out small and work to big. Decide on a Niche you want to market to, then look for a good affiliate product to market to that niche. Affiliate marketing works a lot better if you have a niche website or blog, once you’ve created one then you can look for 4-5 affiliate products within that niche to promote.

Don’t get me wrong: your passion is important. You should create a business around something that interests you — but it won’t help you decide what idea to pursue, how much to charge, and how to SELL without coming off like a sleazeball.

Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name.
