Every week I talk with entrepreneurs. We talk about what’s working and what isn’t. We talk about successes and failures. I spend time with both complete newbies and seasoned veterans, and everything in between.
Fantastic post Corbett!! I was referred to this article and it’s just what I need! I am actually working with a Mastermind group and a Mentor..I’ve wanted to do some sort or ebook or product ever since I first started my blog…but had no idea where to start. So I’ve just been blogging along (love it) throwing in sponsored ads here and there until now…2 years later 🙂
My addition to this already great list is not investing money in the beginning. I know that money is tight when you start a business but focusing your funds on the important things (like design, knowledge, etc) . There are times to make money online how i make $30 000 with article arbitrage and save and there are times to invest. By not investing in the beginning, you tend to greatly limit your growth
This is the second easiest way from a technical standpoint to make money online because you don’t have to do much to get them set up. If you use one of the ad networks that I mention above then they actually do all of the work for you!
You would be amazed at what items you have lying around the house that might bring good money. Do you still have your textbooks from college? Check out Bookscouter where they will not only buy your textbooks but provide a free shipping label to send them as well.
Samples. You’ll need some samples before you can really begin marketing yourself. Figure out which market you want to approach first, and then find or create some related samples. For instance, if you want to try your hand at blogging, study some successful blogs, and then write a few posts of your own to use as samples. Do this for any and every market you’d want to write for.
Example: Sophie Kovic, founder of Flockstocks noticed the trend for feather hair extensions very early on. Before spending any money or buying inventory, Sophie tested the market by quickly mocking up a test store. The results? 11 sales in 4 hours. Knowing there was a huge opportunity she fully built out her site, ordered inventory and even ended up winning the 2012 Shopify Build A Business competition in the Apparel & Jewelry category.
Get freelance editorial work. Maybe you don’t want the commitment of a blog but like to write or express your creativity. You’re in luck because plenty of media, corporate and nonprofit Web sites are looking for freelancers to write, edit or produce content. Some pay by word, some by the hour and some pay per project.
As a consultant for social media, you can effectively steer them in the right direction concerning ideal tactics, implementing schedules, and posting content regarding their target audience. Therefore, as their business grows, so will yours. Check out our new Instagram Tools guide to see how you can increase your clients audience.
Some really good ideas in there. My dream is to be a buyer and reseller. A couple years ago when the Wii was so hot I managed to buy 6 of them right around Christmas and resold them for a nice profit. I’d love to do something like that full time but its so hard to figure out what items will make a profit.
Whether or not you own a blog, you can make money by writing online. You can write for a blog or business about any topic and get paid for it. The only two qualifications are being knowledgeable about the topic and possess the ability to write effectively. You don’t have to be an English major to pursue this income idea.
As for time…well, I didn’t name the list “52 ways to MAKE extra money” without reason. Basic economics…to get value you have to produce value, which takes time and effort. I’ll email you next time I see money falling from the sky. 🙂
